Release Notes for MECCA 2000 version 6.00. Jun/15/2021 Fixed: 1. Certain OpenType CFF font files do not include "Weight" specifier, causing font installation to fail (psfxlfd). 2. Under certain conditions, the license key manager could crash (adgld). 3. An incorrect version of ftolg was included in a previous 64-bit update (ftolg). 4. The preview program (used when batch composing to graphic) combines line styles when MFORM/FIGURE are used to bring in an external drawing into the page, but did not account for line style indices to have gaps (preview). Changed/New: 1. When scanning for fonts used, typdrv did not inspect any external super- impose file; althgouth this does not result in any font (used in that super-imposed file) being dropped, the placement of font data in the output nonetheless was not ideal (typdrv). 2. This version includes foundation files/libs to switch to Tcl/Tk 8.6, along with a newer Freetype2, PNG and GD. Please note that with Tk 8.6, checkbuttons and radiobuttons have different appearance than before. 3. The user now has control over "above what size" a text character displayed on screen should be outline-filled (faster, when outline data are available) for Normal/AA modes. Usually text glyphs are "pixel filled" to display as a bitmap image, and so the larger the glyph, the more pixels to fill, which takes more time. Using outline-fill as polygons is faster for large glyphs, albeit at lower display quality (and no anti-aliasing).
